Carrick Construction to deliver design and build solution at Blackburn Rovers’ Ewood Park

Carrick Construction has been appointed to deliver the construction works for the redevelopment of the stadium pitch at Blackburn Rovers F.C.’s Ewood Park.

Working alongside the wider STRI Group design and consulting team, Carrick Construction will deliver a comprehensive package of specialist sports pitch construction works designed to improve the long-term resilience, performance and sustainability of the stadium surface.

Following detailed investigation and assessment works undertaken by STRI Group, the project will address both immediate pitch challenges and the long-term performance requirements of a modern professional football stadium.

Construction is now underway and includes upgrades to the primary drainage infrastructure, soil profile enhancement, irrigation improvements and pitch run-off areas to improve surface consistency, durability and playability throughout the season.

The redevelopment forms part of Blackburn Rovers’ ongoing investment into its facilities, helping to reduce the risk of fixture disruption, support player welfare and create a more resilient playing surface capable of sustaining year-round professional use.
